Chandeliers, pendants, and table lamps can all play a part.  Swap out those empty, boxy, rectangle chandeliers (you know what I'm talking about) with something with more curves and shape.

Mirrors with brass metal frames, and vintage-inspired décor can blend seamlessly with your new design.  Swap out the black hardware in your kitchen, add something softer like polished nickel, chrome or brass.  Add a little bit of ornate to the space, while keeping it minimal and clean.
